As a proud first-generation American and college student, Neida understands the transformative power of education, and she believes that representation in professional and policymaking spaces is essential to driving lasting change.
Neida is currently a student at Arizona State University, majoring in Politics and the Economy with a certificate in International Relations. At her university, she serves as the Vice President of her multicultural sorority, where she leads initiatives centered around academic achievement and cultural empowerment. She also previously served as a fellow with the Arizona Students Association and Civic Engagement Beyond Voting, working on statewide civic engagement campaigns to increase student participation. After graduation, Neida hopes to attend law school and continue to serve her Hispanic community.
This fall, as a CHCI Intern, Neida hopes to expand her knowledge of the legislative process and gain firsthand experience in federal policymaking. She is excited to represent her Latinx and first-gen community in Washington, D.C. and hopes to use this opportunity to uplift and empower the next generation of leaders.
