ANDY VARGAS

Andy Vargas serves as a Director of Federal Government Affairs at DaVita Inc., where he leads the company’s Democratic strategy across the U.S. House and Senate. In this role, he manages engagement with key committees including Energy & Commerce, Ways & Means, Senate Finance and HELP. Prior to joining DaVita, Mr. Vargas served as a Senior Vice President at Mercury Public Affairs, advising Fortune 500 clients on federal policy and regulatory strategy.

He also served as an Advisor on the presidential campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris and worked in the White House Office of the Vice President, where he helped lead national stakeholder engagement and public policy outreach efforts. Earlier in his career, Mr. Vargas worked in both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. Mr. Vargas is a proud alumnus of the CHCI Public Policy Fellowship program and the proud son of two Mexican immigrant parents. He holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Latin American Studies from Dickinson College.
