Join thousands from around the country and across the globe in Washington, D.C. for the nation’s premier events commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month—CHCI’s Public Policy Conference, Reyes of Comedy, and Annual Awards Gala

DAY ONE - TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30

CHCI Alumni Association - Next Generation Professional Development Session: “CHCI Alumni: Millennials Redefining Success”
2:45 pm - 5:00 pm

This session will explore the fastest-growing demographic in the Latino community (and within the CHCI Alumni Association) as they rise to become the leaders of tomorrow, forging new pathways and redefining what “success” means for them. Session participants will hear from renowned experts, engage with a panel of Millennial leaders on how they are achieving success, and take part in a dynamic training led by nationally-recognized leadership expert Shelley Row on Infotuition: Your Key to Complex Decisions in Leadership and Life.”*

CHCI and CHCI Alumni Association (CHCI-AA), in partnership with the Congressional Hispanic Staff Association (CHSA), are hosting a special reception honoring Congressional Chiefs of Staff who have demonstrated their commitment to promoting diversity on Capitol Hill. The honorees have played a pivotal role in ensuring that young Latinos are hired, offered opportunities to grow, and advance professionally. We congratulate them on their recognition – it takes leaders to bring forth leaders.

DAY TWO - WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1

CHCI Alumni Association Business Meeting (Closed Meeting)
5:15 pm - 7:15 pm

CHCI Alumni Leaders will gather to discuss key issues impacting the network of over 2,900 CHCI Alumni and eight regional chapters around the nation. Reyes of Comedy After-Party: A CHCI Alumni Association Party with a Purpose
9:00 pm - Midnight

Immediately following Reyes of Comedy, join us for the After Party hosted by the CHCI Alumni Association! Party with a Purpose will bring together 200-250 young Latino professionals working on Capitol Hill, the Administration, federal agencies and national nonprofits in Washington, DC.  Others include corporate representatives, national leaders and advocates in town for CHCI’s HHM events.

Tickets for the After Party are $35 if sold separately, or $50 with Reyes of Comedy admission.

CHCI-AA Launches Presidential Appointment Initiative

CHCI and the CHCI Alumni Association (CHCI-AA) are pleased to announce the establishment of a Presidential Appointment Initiative (PAI) that will support the efforts of the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda (NHLA) to increase Latino appointment officials at both the federal and state levels to grow the pipeline of Latinos serving our nation.
