“Ashley Toro is a proud Mexican American and an upcoming senior at Theodore Roosevelt High School. As a daughter of immigrant parents, she wants to make them proud by working hard in school and pursuing a higher education. She wants to pursue law, but it is all about confidence, which is why she always gets out of her comfort zone by joining programs and clubs and by being a part of the class cabinet. She specifically wants to become a paralegal, which will enable her to make a positive impact on her community. Ashley believes CHCI NextGen is a valuable resource, not only to help her begin and navigate her journey, but also to strengthen her skills so she can achieve her goals and make a positive impact in people’s lives.
