Dr. Joaquin Villegas

Dr. Villegas attended UTHealth at Houston Medical School and graduated in 2016, where he also did his residency in Family Medicine. He obtained his Master of Public Health at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health and was a recipient of the 2017 United Health Scholarship with CHCI. His curriculum focused primarily on Healthcare Policy, emphasizing Maternal and Child Health. Currently, Dr. Villegas serves as Assistant Professor in Family Medicine and is the Medical Director of the Urgent Care at the Outpatient Center clinic with Harris Health. He also serves in various local, regional, and national organizations, including the Texas Academy of Family Physicians’ Council on Health of the Public.
