Angel Valentin was born in Missouri to first-generation college graduates and raised in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Angel is pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He remains active as a Student Senator for Purdue's Student Government and as a member of Purdue College Democrats.

As a CHCI Intern, Angel hopes to gain valuable insight into our nation’s legislative process and how policy is implemented. He hopes to continue to develop and grow as a leader, and expand his professional network. Following graduation, Angel hopes to attend law school and utilize the skills he has developed to create a lasting, positive impact on America's communities, particularly the underprivileged Hispanic and African-American communities.
