Throughout her life, Christine has gained inspiration from her four energetic brothers, motivation from her mother and determination from her father. Her drive to make an impact on the world is possible because of the support of her loved ones.

Christine is a third-year student at the University of California, Berkeley where she is pursuing a bachelor’s in ethnic studies. She has always felt a deep passion for serving the Latinx community and has had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people seeking immigration legal services through the East Bay Sanctuary Covenant in Berkeley, California. Christine is inspired by their resilience, hope, and work ethic despite their difficult circumstances.

As a CHCI Intern, Christine hopes to develop the skills, values, and character to humbly serve her community. She hopes to attend graduate school for public policy and dedicate herself to social justice work.
