She recently graduated magna cum laude from Idaho State University (ISU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and an advanced certificate in Spanish. At ISU, she served as the 2024-2025 Student Body Vice President for the Associated Students of Idaho State University. Jennifer also founded and served as President of Los Estudiantes Después, a student-led organization focused on Latine policy, civic engagement, and empowering future leaders. In addition, she is a sister of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc., and a member of the Hispanic Awareness Leadership Organization, where she served as social media manager, promoting cultural awareness on campus and increased Latine representation within the campus community.
Her advocacy work within the community includes her involvement with United We Dream and other immigrant rights advocacy and civic engagement groups. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the ACLU of Idaho, working to support equity across the state. Jennifer hopes to continue building her career in nonprofit development and public policy. She plans to pursue work within grassroots organizing and strategic advocacy.
Jennifer hopes to deepen her understanding of bipartisan legislation and the legislative process while connecting with other emerging leaders. Through her role as a CHCI Intern, she looks forward to applying the lessons learned to uplift her community through purposeful, people-centered work.
