Kamila Rivera is a proud Mexican-American student from La Habra, California, deeply rooted in her culture and passionate about public service. Her dedication to uplifting her community is reflected in her leadership roles across the state. As Vice Chair of the California High School Democrats, Kamila has mobilized thousands of young voters and helped spearhead over 35 statewide initiatives. She also serves as a Director of K-12 Policy with GENup, working directly with legislators to champion education policy. Locally, Kamila leads as the Chairwoman of the La Habra Youth Committee, where she represents the voices of over 40 youth members. Her involvement stems from a desire to empower underrepresented communities and fight for equitable change. Kamila applied to CHCI NextGen to grow as a changemaker, connect with other driven Latinx leaders, and continue using her voice to make a meaningful impact.
