Matthew Carter is a Peruvian American scholar from Hot Springs, Arkansas. He attends the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts where he holds the position of Admissions Delegate as well as being an executive officer in a men’s mentorship program. Outside of school his interests are in biology, neurology, and music, and he is pursuing a degree in Neuroscience. He applied for CHCI NextGen to explore his interests and experience the college preparation benefits provided. He is an aspiring leader that contributes the most he can to the latino communities around him, and hopes to encourage others with his determination.
