Rafael Hernandez Guzman is a student originally from Florida, Puerto Rico. He is currently the Arecibo Region President for the Distributive Education Clubs of America. Rafael is especially passionate about the Island of Puerto Rico and how it’s legislations affect his island — both positive and negatively. The NextGen Program opened Rafael’s eyes to completely new facets of his culture and all those that uniquely compose our Latinx heritage. Moreover, throughout the NextGen Program, Rafael has acquired a vast array of knowledge and crucial tools that will allow him to more effectively serve his community through a dynamic approach.
