Xitlali Camacho Hinojoza

Xitlali Camacho Hinojoza is the daughter of two Mexican immigrants who raised her in the town of Caldwell, Idaho. Xitlali is now a third-year student athletic trainer, medically assisting high school athletes from both the sideline and the training room. Additionally, she served as programming chair in the 8th annual Young Women in Leadership planning committee. Xitlali is also a proud member of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council and new vice chair for this upcoming school year. She claims that a major part of her involvement in her community sources from her participation in TRIO Upward Bound, which supports low-income, first-generation students in finding their path to a higher education. Xitlali hopes that with her involvement in CHCI NextGen, she is able to gain new leadership perspectives that will allow her to push her community to flourish into so much more, as well as highlight the importance of representation.
