CHCI mourns the loss of an extraordinary leader, Rep. Raúl Grijalva (AZ-07)

Washington, D.C., March 13, 2025 — It is with deep sadness that CHCI notes the passing of Rep. Raúl Grijalva (AZ – 07), CHCI Advisory Council Member, long-standing member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and longtime champion of the Latino community. Deeply valued as a highly engaged leader, the Congressman will be remembered as a bold, caring, dedicated, and unifying legislator who sought to make a difference across communities.

He offered time and enthusiasm to our leadership programs, participated actively with our Fellows and Interns, and earned the respect of everyone who knew him.
