Carlos Manuel Serrano

As a Junior Account Manager at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), I support corporate accounts, streamline administrative processes, and strengthen client relationships. Previously, I was with the Partnership for Public Service, where I assisted federal leaders in leadership development programs, such as the Excellence in Government Fellowship (EIG) , and managed the Advanced HR Leaders (AHRL) program, focusing on best practices and DEIA initiatives.

CHCI’s mission resonates with me deeply, as community and opportunity have shaped my life. Growing up in a single-income household, I saw my mother sacrifice for my education. This motivates me to help students facing similar financial barriers and to create pathways for Latino students to pursue their dreams. 

Outside of work, I continue my family legacy through cooking, inspired by my grandmother, who owned a Puerto Rican restaurant. One day, I hope to open a food truck featuring her recipes, sharing our family’s story through food.
