2018 CHCI Energy Summit

Washington, DC – On March 14th, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) hosted the 2018 CHCI Energy Summit – A World In Transition at the Newseum. Discussions focused on the evolving trends in the energy sector, as well as challenges and opportunities ahead for innovation and collaboration.
The day-long summit convened over 200 guests including, Members of Congress, Fortune 500 executives, energy experts, and emerging leaders for high-level discussions and networking. The closing plenary addressed the critical need to invest and train the future energy workforce, which must include Latino talent, to become the next generation of energy experts.
We are grateful to the members of Congress in attendance for their insights and advocacy. Members in attendance included Representative Tony Cárdenas, Representative Bill Flores, Representative Gene Green, Representative Scott Peters, Representative Raul Ruiz, Representative Bobby Rush, Representative Darren Soto, and Representative Nydia M.
