Alexandra is a first generation Dominican-American born in Brooklyn, New York. Her parents immigrated to the United States in the 1980s. These challenges ignited Alexandra’s passion for advocacy and furthered her desire to make a positive impact on the Latino community.

Alexandra is currently a senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in political science at the Rockefeller College of Public Policy at the State University at Albany. Alexandra remains active in her university by serving as the secretary of the Pre-Law Association on campus and organizing meetings for students interested in attending law school.

As a CHCI Intern, Alexandra hopes to learn more about public policy, broaden her professional network, and further develop herself as a leader in her community. Upon graduation, Alexandra hopes to attend law school and become an attorney to advocate for the Latino community in the courtroom and in legislative matters.
