Amanda is a Venezuelan-American community organizer based in Phoenix, Arizona. Inspired by the love and resilience of her family in Venezuela, she advocates for her community by using her voice to loudly protest injustice. She currently serves as the National Training Manager with March For Our Lives, a youth-led gun violence prevention organization. In her role, she develops training and resources to empower young organizers with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive meaningful social change.

Amanda is currently a sophomore at Arizona State University majoring in Philosophy and Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership and minoring in Justice Studies and Nonprofit Leadership and Management. On-campus, she competes on the speech team and mentors first-year students in service-learning projects. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, Amanda hopes to attend law school. With her law degree, she ultimately aims to give back to her community by providing legal support to social movements and organizers.

As a CHCI Intern, Amanda hopes to grow as a changemaker by studying the inner workings of the legislative process and learning to address policy challenges compassionately and conscientiously. She is committed to taking this experience back to her community so that she can mobilize others to do the same.
