Austin Conner Felter is Floridian with Dominican roots and is currently a student of international studies and business administration at the University of Florida, with a focus on global issues of conflict and peace. Along with his academic commitment, he advocates in favor of the Hispanic community at the university and the Florida Capitol through his involvement in numerous organizations, including as the President of Phi Chapter of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. and leadership roles in the Hispanic Student Association.
For his future aspirations, Austin intends to attend a graduate school program that focuses on global issues to further his understanding of our globalized world. Upon finishing his graduate program aims on seeking a career within the United States government or a non-governmental agency.
As a CHCI intern, Austin intends to further understand more effective avenues of change in our American politics. Either by way of grassroots organizing or traditional lobbying of legislative bodies, his intimate time in Congress will clarify how best to further the Hispanic cause in this country.
