Carlo Garcia was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and is currently a junior at The University of Texas at San Antonio majoring in Communication with a minor in Public Administration. Carlo has experience as a district representative for the AVID program in SAISD and serving as a Project Leader for the Student Leadership Institute of the Alamo Community Colleges District.

Upon completing his undergraduate degree, Carlo aspires to obtain a master’s degree in metacommunication studies with an emphasis on adolescents and minors growing up in our technologically advanced world. His ultimate career goal would be to work for the House of Representatives or Senate working as a representative for a congressmen/woman and potentially being a representative of Congress to speak on behalf and express the voices and concerns of his constituents for who he would represent.

As a CHCI Intern, Carlo hopes to expand and strengthen his knowledge and awareness of the legislative and behind the scene work of what it takes, as well as gain insight on the higher level of the functions that occur on capitol hill. He wishes to provide this experience in making a larger difference not only for the city he grew up in but for every citizen as well.
