Edith Muñoz is currently a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign double majoring in Political Science and Latina/o Studies and minoring in Spanish. Her family migrated from Jalisco, Mexico to the U.S. She was born in West Chicago, where she grew up with her four siblings.
Edith’s compassion for the Latino community has been the driving force in her career aspirations. Edith aspires to work in immigration law to one day become an attorney. Edith is part of a multi-cultural Greek organization in which she been serving as Cultural Awareness officer for two years. She plans and executes events that highlight the Latino culture and issues marginalized communities face.
As a CHCI intern, Edith hopes to immerse herself into the political atmosphere and develop as individual.
