“The R2L NextGen program was an amazing opportunity, and I am entirely grateful to have a family not only with the caring CHCI staff but also with the extraordinary students I had the privilege to meet. I have learned so much about how to help my community and be more involved in the political process. When I first arrived, I did not believe I was a leader. Now, I am leaving Washington, D.C. proud to be an informed Latina who is determined, empowered, and equipped to make a difference. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for everyone in the CHCI familia.”
