Ray Acosta is a first-generation Mexican-American born in Pomona, California and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout his life, his parents have instilled in him important values such as a strong work ethic, serving others, and that knowledge is power.

Ray is currently a junior studying Computer Science at the University of Georgia. He is part of various professional organizations such as Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) and Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) that have shaped his outlook on what he hopes to accomplish professionally. Ray hopes to work in the private sector in either a technology or finance role before he goes back to earn either a Master of Business Administration or Master of Computer Science to equip him with the skills needed to one day start his own company.

As a CHCI intern, Ray intends to cultivate his leadership capabilities and the connections he makes on capitol hill towards his goal of inspiring and helping others in his hometown and his long-term goal of running for public office in the future.
