Modern Activism: Organizing for Social Justice through Social Media and Technology
New media and technology have transformed the way we share information and engage with others, including civic engagement. This plenary will highlight effective use of social media to convene and mobilize an impactful social justice activism campaign. The discussion will examine best practices and strategies for social media activism to foster social justice, spark civic engagement, and promote social consciousness.

Urbanization of America: Smart Cities, the Cities of the Future
As urbanization in America accelerates, forward-thinking civic and business leaders are working to create dynamic, resource efficient, healthy, and vibrant cities of the future.
