CHCI Launches Final Phase of Capital Campaign

On February 23, CHCI launched the final phase of Building Our Future, Together – CHCI’s capital campaign to transform our new home into a state-of-the-art 21st Century Leadership Center and innovation hub (just a few blocks from the White House!). To kick off the campaign, CHCI board member and campaign ambassador, Wendy Thompson-Marquez issued a challenge to her fellow board members and advisory council members. She and her husband Dario Marquez generously offered to match up to $10,000 if fellow members could collectively donate $10,000 by March 7, 2016.

Not only did they meet the $10,000 goal, they surpassed it! Together with online donations, pledges, employer matches, and the generous matching gift, the CHCIA Board and Advisory Council raised a total of $21,525 for Building Our Future, Together.

“This is our opportunity to leave a lasting mark on an institution that has inspired and transformed so many lives,” said Wendy Thompson-Marquez.
