State Farm Renews Long-Standing Commitment to CHCI and Developing the Next Generation of Latino Leaders
WASHINGTON, DC - The Congressional Hispanic Institute (CHCI)’s longtime supporter State Farm once again renewed…
On December 6, members of CHCI’s Board and Advisory council gathered with other community leaders to say farewell to Reps. Loretta Sanchez, Rubén Hinojosa and Pedro Pierluisi and thank them for all their years of service. They were joined on stage by Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer and Democratic Leaders Nancy Pelosi, who acknowledged their contributions to our country and wished them well on their future endeavors.
We also recognized the service of our outgoing Chair, Rep. Linda T. Sánchez, and Vice Chair, Cristina Antelo. Their commitment to our mission of cultivating the next generation of Latino American leaders helped strengthen the talent pipeline, ensuring that Latinos are represented across all sectors of society. Through their efforts, each year, CHCI has been able to train nearly 1,700 students and young professionals through our fellowships, congressional internships, scholarships, and college readiness programs. We are deeply grateful for their dedication, and are excited about their work in our community for years to come!
