CHCI Welcomes the Arrival of its Spring 2017 Congressional Interns

On February 6, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) welcomed the arrival of the 2017 Spring Congressional Interns to Washington, D.C. Twenty young Latino leaders traveled from 10 states to take part in CHCI’s nationally recognized Leadership Programs, representing eight different Hispanic ethnic backgrounds, and 18 academic institutions.
CHCI prides itself in selecting participants from different cultural backgrounds, origins and academic fields, highlighting the rich cultural and intellectual diversity that characterizes the U.S. Latino community.

CHCI’s leadership programs work to expose talented young Latinos to the inner-workings of Congress while preparing them to enter the workforce and climb their way to positions at the highest levels of government. CHCI provides its participants with the tools and resources necessary for them to become the future leaders of America.
CHCI’s Spring Congressional Internship Program is supported by Walmart – founding sponsor of the CHCI Semester Congressional Internship, UPS, National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), Prudential, Pearson, and Chevron.
