Continuing the momentum from CHCI’s 2015 Silicon Valley Summit, this featured luncheon will underscore the need for action and highlight community generated insights for addressing the lack of diverse talent in the technology sector, from the sales floor to the c-suite.

Join the Conversation on How to Close the Income and Education Gap for Latinos

Join Rep. Henry Cuellar as he leads a discussion on wealth and education equality during CHCI’s 2016 Public Policy Conference Equality Luncheon: Income & Education Equality-The Skills Gap and How Latinos Fareon September 14.

Throughout the United States, Latino family income lags behind the incomes of White households, in part, due to the low educational attainment levels. This session will cover trends in the data and showcase ways in which incomes have gone up by acquiring education and training, and through small business development. It will also address how organizations use education and training to address the skills gap.

CHCI and SHRM will present a joint report on the Latino skills gap and CHCI will present its 2016 Distinguished Alumnus Award to Arnoldo Avalos.
