5 Strategies to Reclaim Spanish As a Latino Leader

May 2, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Spanish is the 2nd largest native language in the world and the 3rd most used language on the internet. There are now more than 577 million Spanish speakers in the world. 50 million live in the U.S. Yet study shows that Latinos in the US assimilate and lose their ability to communicate in Spanish by the second and third generation. In recent times and across the U.S., particularly in the Southwest many policies punished and discriminated the use of Spanish in schools and public spaces.

Spanish is a skill that can be learned even as an adult but for Latinos it means so much more than just learning a new skill. Speaking or not speaking Spanish comes with a lot of judgments and expectations. Join us to have a conversation about language, culture and identity and get 5 simple strategies on how to learn and speak Spanish more confidently as a leader in our community.

This a FREE workshop but space is limited so please make sure to reserve your seat.
