Hillary Clinton to Attend CHCI’s 38th Annual Awards Gala

CHCI announced today that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will co-present an award at CHCI’s 38th Annual Awards Gala on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Clinton will take part in the presentation of the CHCI Chair’s Medallion Award to world-renowned chef José Andrés, who is being honored by CHCI Chair Rep. Linda T. Sánchez for his work to eradicate hunger and poverty around the globe.

CHCI’s 38th Annual Awards Gala, themed “Powering Growth and Influence” will convene the nation’s largest and most prestigious gathering of Hispanic nonpartisan, public, and private sector leaders. The evening’s festivities will include the presentation of the CHCI Medallion of Excellence awards to NFL hall of famer Anthony Muñoz and education advocate Sonia Gutierrez.

Actor Roselyn Sanchez will serve as celebrity host for the gala ceremony and the event will also feature the National Anthem by the Brooklyn Youth Chorus Men’s Ensembleand a performance from Grammy Award–winning band La Santa Cecilia at the gala entertainment finale.
