No Purchase is necessary to enter the drawing. Enter the drawing by filling out the required information in this form and depositing the required ticket in the Southwest®-branded receptacle in the Ronald Reagan building Atrium, by 3:30pm EST on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
There will be two drawings – the winners will be selected at random from all qualified entries received. The winner of the first drawing (Winner A) will be announced at 5:00pm EST on September 11, 2018, in the Atrium Hall, at the Ronald Reagan Building, at the conclusion of the Afternoon Plenary session. The winner of the second drawing (Winner B) will be announced at 5:15pm EST on September 12, 2018 in the Atrium Hall, at the Ronald Reagan Building, at the conclusion of the Closing Plenary Session. Winner A and Winner B must be present to win.
This Drawing is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by the United States Congress or any individual Members of the United States Congress.
Eligibility: NO PURCHASE OR ENTRY FEE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS DRAWING. Purchase does not increase the chances of winning. Open to individuals who are nineteen (19) years of age or older at time of entry and present at the CHCI Leadership Conference on September 11 and 12, 2018. Employees and immediate family and household members of employees of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (collectively, the “Organizer”), Southwest Airlines Co. (“Southwest Airlines”), their affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, are NOT eligible to enter. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
How to Enter: Follow all instructions in these Official Rules; otherwise entry may be disqualified. Enter by filling out the required information in this form and depositing the ticket in the Southwest-branded receptacle in the Ronald Reagan building Atrium, from 8:00am EST to 3:30pm EST on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 and Wednesday, September 12, 2018 (“Entry Period”). An entry will not be returned or acknowledged. Entrants must fully complete and submit all required data to be eligible; incomplete entries are null and void.
Selection of Winners and Odds of Winning: There will be two drawings, one on each day of the conference.On September 11, 2018, one (1) qualified entrant (“Winner A”) will be selected at random from all qualified entries received. On September 12, 2018 at the conclusion of Entry Period one (1) qualified entrant ( “Winner B”) will be selected at random from all qualified entries received during the Entry Period. Entrants need to be present to win. Odds of winning depend solely on total number of qualified entries received. Winner A will be announced at 5:00pm EST on September 11, 2018, in the Atrium Hall, at the Ronald Reagan Building, at the conclusion of the Afternoon Plenary. Winner B will be announced at 5:15pm EST on September 12, 2018 in the Atrium Hall, at the Ronald Reagan Building, at the conclusion of the Closing Plenary Session. If either Winner is not present at time of drawing, another qualified entrant will be selected at random.
Prizes: Two (2) qualified Winners will each receive round trip travel on Southwest Airlines for winner and one (1) guest (subject to Air Travel Restrictions set forth below): (the “Prize”).
Travel must take place on the valid dates and no later than September 30, 2019. If a Winner is unavailable for travel on the designated date(s), then that Winner will be disqualified and the Organizer reserves the right to select another winner in its sole discretion and if time permits. Winner and guest are responsible for all necessary travel authorizations and for any travel insurance. Approximate Retail Value of each Prize is $800.00 (Eight Hundred Dollars).
Air Travel Restrictions: Air travel is subject to Southwest Airlines terms and conditions; certain restrictions may apply. Round trip travel for two (2) on Southwest Airlines will be awarded in the form of four (4) Southwest flight e‐passes. Each Southwest flight e‐pass is valid for one‐way travel on Southwest Airlines‐operated, published, scheduled service in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The Southwest flight e-pass will bear the date of issue and the date of expiration. Expiration dates will not be extended, and travel must be completed on or before the expiration date. The Southwest flight e‐pass is not valid on interline or codeshare service. The Southwest flight e‐pass is non‐refundable and is not redeemable for cash or credit. The Southwest flight e‐pass will not be replaced for any reason, including, without limitation, if lost, stolen, or fraudulently used. The Southwest flight e‐pass is non‐transferrable and cannot be sold to a third party. Sale, auction, or re‐tendering of the Southwest flight e‐pass for money or otherwise is strictly prohibited. The Southwest flight e‐pass may not be used for promotional purposes unless previously approved by Southwest Airlines. Any suspected fraud, misrepresentation, misuse, abuse or violation of the Southwest flight e‐pass rules and regulations may result in cancellation of the Southwest flight e‐pass(es). Southwest flight e‐pass holders are required to be nineteen (19) years of age or older and a legal U.S. resident. However, the recipient of a Southwest flight e‐pass may arrange travel for another person if done without selling or bartering a Southwest flight e‐pass. Air transportation by Southwest Airlines is subject to Southwest Airlines’ Passenger Contract of Carriage set out at https://www.southwest.com/assets/pdfs/corporate-commitments/contract-of-carriage.pdf. If the winner does not live in a city served by Southwest Airlines, he/she is responsible for transportation to and from the nearest airport served by Southwest Airlines. Winner is responsible for booking all travel and paying all applicable international taxes and fees. Travel is based on seat availability. Seats on any desired flight are not guaranteed. Winner and guest(s) must travel on the same itinerary and are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents. Winner and guest must have valid government‐issued photo identification at the time of travel. If the travel guest is a minor, winner must be his/her parent/guardian, or be accompanied by his/her parent/guardian.
Winner A or B will not receive the difference between actual and approximate retail value. Meals and beverages, incidentals, gratuities, phone calls, luggage fees, travel insurance, travel taxes, and any and all other expenses not specifically mentioned herein are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee express or implied. Organizer disclaims all and any liability for the actual provision, quality or nature of any third-party product or service accepted by the Winners. Entrants understand that Organizer and Southwest Airlines are not liable for injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in this promotion and acceptance, possession and use or misuse of Prize. Prize may not be redeemed for cash or any other Prize substitution. Any portion of the Prize not used will be forfeited. Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with Prize receipt and/or use. Winnings of $600 or more will be reported to the IRS.
Entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and agree that if Winner fails to provide proof of identity or is found to have violated the Official Rules, or otherwise does not meet eligibility criteria, prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Entrants understand that Organizer is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from participation in this promotion and acceptance, possession, and use of prize.
Organizers are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Drawing, or in the announcement of the prizes. Decisions of Organizer are final and binding in all respects and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Conditions of Entry:
i. Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the Organizer’s decisions, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Drawing. Entry in this Drawing will be deemed as acceptance of and agreement to these terms and conditions.
ii. Organizer and their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and agents assume no responsibility for lost, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, incorrect, altered, or illegible entries. No duplicated entries will be accepted. Conduct that impedes the integrity of the Drawing is prohibited. Entries and the information contained therein become the property of the Organizer and will not be returned.
iii. The Winners and all Entrants who have submitted entries to the Drawing agree to the use of his/her name in any publicity material.
iv. Any personal data relating to the Winners or any Entrants provided to Organizer will be used solely in accordance with current US data protection law and will not be disclosed to third parties without the Entrant’s prior consent.
By entering this Drawing, Entrants release Organizer, Southwest Airlines, and their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, shareholders, officers, and employees from any liability arising from or relating to participation in this Drawing, including but not limited to, any and all claims, expenses, demands, or liabilities arising out of or in connection with the participation of the Entrant in the Drawing and/or the use or misuse of the Prize, or participation in any Drawing-related activity.
- DISPUTE RESOLUTION:
Except where prohibited, by participating in the Drawing, Entrants agree to the following: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of participants and Organizer and its agents will be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law of any jurisdiction. Any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to this Drawing s, or awarding of the Prizes, will be filed only in the state or federal courts located in the District of Columbia and Entrant hereby consents and submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action. Except where prohibited, by participating in this Drawing, Entrant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Drawing, or awarding of the prizes, will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards will be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in this Drawing but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no circumstances will any Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for (and hereby waives all rights to claim) punitive, incidental, and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.

At the 2018 Leadership Conference, we are activating leaders through service—join us!
CHCI is proud to announce the launch of the State Farm® Social Impact Lab, where we will engage conference goers in a service activity benefitting our local community.
For our inaugural project, we will create survival backpacks containing school supplies, toiletries and other resources for 500 students experiencing poverty and homelessness in the Washington, D.C., metro area.
