Since December 2018, Manuel is the interim Director of Community Health Action at La Clinica Del Pueblo, Inc. in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area.
From June 2007 to November 2018, Manuel served as the LGBTQ Health Program Manager at La Clínica del Pueblo, Inc. overseeing HIV prevention programs and strategies targeting Latinx LGBTQ.
Before immigrating to the US in 2005, and for about six years, Manuel worked for a community health center in Lima, Peru, as a project manager implementing prevention and health services targeting men, and sexual health programs and interventions for youth.
Manuel studied Social Psychology and Public Health. He has 25 years of professional experience in Sexuality/HIV Prevention, Gender/Masculinities, and Sexual Diversity.
Manuel currently lives in Fairfax, VA with his partner, and his 21 year-old daughter is a junior student at UVA in Charlottesville, VA.
