Aneyssa Romo earned her Master of Public Administration from Arizona State University (ASU). During graduate school, Aneyssa served as an ASU Marvin Andrews fellow, a fellowship focused on supporting the next generation of executive-level local government leaders. After graduation, Aneyssa completed the City of Long Beach Management Assistant Program where she rotated through the Technology and Innovation, City Manager, Health, and Budget Departments. Most recently, Aneyssa served as a Budget Analyst for the City of Avondale where she assisted departments through the budget process. Currently, Aneyssa serves as a Management Analyst in the City Manager’s Office where she assists with City Council initiatives and community engagement programs.

Aneyssa’s passion for public service was sparked by her participation in the City of Tolleson Teen Council, a program that allows youth to create community solutions to issues they face in their City. From this experience, Aneyssa was inspired to continue learning about public service and how to advocate for the communities she grew up in. Aneyssa earned her B.S. in Public Service and Public Policy from ASU and is an alumnus of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and the Arizona State Legislature Internship.
