Eric Hernandez completed CHCI’s 2013-2014 Public Policy Fellowship and served on the DC Chapter Board in an appointed role in 2018. Born and raised in Detroit, MI and having been in DC for the past five years, Eric’s commitment to the community runs deep.

He currently serves as a Data Project Manager at 270 Strategies. Here, he specializes in delivering innovative insights to clients, developing data management strategy, and implementing long-term data-driven solutions. With a range of experience between the private and public sector, he prides himself in his ability to swiftly understand and brainstorm solutions to clients’ biggest challenges.

Eric’s commitment to the DC Chapter is to better support alumni in the DC area by: (1) proactively helping younger alumni who are in DC or transitioning to/from town; (2) helping alumni land more diverse and senior roles; (3) leveraging more meaningful partnerships that benefit local alumni; and (4) implementing a working fundraising strategy.

In his spare time, Eric enjoys running, brainstorming impactful solutions, talking about his hometown of Detroit, and going on spontaneous adventures in the DMV area. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and currently resides in Washington, D.C.
