Kim has been a practitioner of community development strategies within the banking industry working under the Community Reinvestment Act for close to 15 years. She’s led successful corporate campaigns to create more inclusive supply chains for small businesses, built educational and inclusive employee resource programs, and implemented frameworks to achieve regulatory compliance. Currently, Kim manages an investment portfolio of impact-oriented investments targeted to promote economic development in underserved areas.
Her life-long quest for a more equitable and just society has led to grassroots volunteer work that includes voter and citizenship registration campaigns, free tax preparation, school community council participation, and teaching business and financial education in underinvested communities. Kim has also served as Chair for the Utah Banker’s Association Community Reinvestment Committee, Chair of the Utah Donors’ Forum, and Chair of Women of the World. Kim was recently appointed to serve on Utah’s Access to Justice Commission.
Kim has been the recipient of multiple bank awards for outstanding achievements and was recognized as an Enlighted 50 community member by the Community Foundation of Utah. She is a graduate of the University of Utah and holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications.
