Terry Perez has been with HP Inc. (formerly Hewlett-Packard Company) for 20 years and has held leadership positions across multiple functional organizations including Finance, IT, Sales Operations, and HR. A California native, she attended Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business and completed an Executive Development program at Stanford University.
Terry began her career with HP in Finance where she held various roles leading Controllership and strategic financial planning activities. While in Finance, she spearheaded developing HP’s first ROI tool and governance framework for establishing a returns-based approach for all IT investments. After nine years in Finance, Terry transitioned into HP’s Sales Operations organization where she designed and implemented the organization’s first global strategic workforce planning process to articulate the labor savings case of the organization’s business transformation initiatives. Terry then moved into HP’s Global IT organization to lead IT capability prioritization for the Finance organization’s next wave of transformation efforts.
In 2013, Terry moved into HR as the Director of Global Workforce Strategy where she was responsible for developing global labor location strategies to inform company level location optimization decisions in support of HPCo’s 250,000+ workforce. Subsequently, Terry led Business Workforce Strategy and Planning at HP Inc. where she had responsibility for long range and annual labor planning activities across all HP businesses in support of the company’s 50,000+ workforce. Currently, Terry leads HR for the North America Market Sales organization and oversees HR country operations for the U.S. and Canada.
Terry is passionate about developing and mentoring individuals at all levels, as well as supporting diversity and inclusion efforts. In 2015, she was featured in the “Latinas in Information Technology” profiles of Hispanic Engineer & IT Magazine. In 2016, she was invited to participate as a panelist at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Young Women’s Leadership Summit which focused on encouraging diverse middle school and high school girls to pursue careers in STEM organizations. Terry is also a founding member of HP Inc’s Bay Area Hispanic/Latino Business Impact Network.
Terry resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two sons.
