Allison S. Zambrano was born in Ecuador and immigrated to the United States with her family in search of greater educational and professional opportunities. Growing up in an immigrant household inspired her passion for public service, advocacy, and helping underserved communities navigate complex systems.

She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Political Science at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU), where she maintains a strong academic record. Allison previously attended Housatonic Community College before transferring to SCSU to continue her studies.

Throughout her academic and professional career, Allison has gained valuable experience in law, public policy, and constituent services. Most recently, she served as an intern in the Office of Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, where she researched legislative issues, analyzed constituent concerns, and prepared policy briefings. Prior to this role, she worked as a paralegal in immigration law, assisting individuals and families through complex legal processes. She has also remained active in community service through organizations such as Bread and Fish and humanitarian relief efforts supporting communities affected by the 2016 earthquake in Ecuador.

In the future, Allison hopes to attend law school and pursue a career in public service, where she can advocate for immigrant communities and contribute to meaningful policy solutions. As a CHCI Intern, Allison hopes to deepen her understanding of the legislative process, strengthen her leadership and policy analysis skills, and gain valuable experience that will help her become a more effective advocate and public servant.
