Diego Enseñat Rivera was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where he lived for 13 years before relocating to Brunswick, Georgia. Growing up between two distinct communities has given him a strong appreciation for his Puerto Rican heritage and a desire to serve and advocate for others. His experiences have shaped his commitment to leadership, public service, and creating opportunities for his community.

Diego is currently a student at Georgia Southern University pursuing a degree in Economics with an emphasis in International Business. In addition to his academic pursuits, he has served in the United States Army for five years and currently holds the rank of Sergeant. On campus, Diego serves as Vice President of the Caribbean Student Association, where he helps promote cultural awareness and student engagement. He is also committed to community service and volunteers with the Humane Society, participating in projects that support local housing initiatives and community development.

Upon completing his undergraduate degree, Diego plans to attend law school and pursue a career as either a criminal defense attorney or an international business lawyer. Through his legal career, he hopes to advocate for others and contribute to positive change within underserved communities.

As a CHCI Intern, Diego hopes to gain valuable professional experience, strengthen his knowledge of the legislative process, and gain insight into how the political system works. He hopes to use this experience to make a meaningful difference in his community and in Puerto Rico.
