Brian Loayza Arroyo was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, by Peruvian parents who immigrated to the United States in search of greater opportunities. As a first-generation college student, Brian has been inspired by his family’s resilience, strong work ethic, and determination to build a better future. Their sacrifices and perseverance instilled in him a deep commitment to public service, hard work, and the values that continue to guide his academic, professional, and personal aspirations.

Brian is a student at Florida State University, double majoring in International Affairs and Political Science. He has completed academic certificates in Emergency Management and U.S. National Intelligence Studies while maintaining Dean’s List and President’s List honors.

On campus, Brian serves as Treasurer of the Hispanic Honor Society and has worked as a Legislative Intern with the Florida Public Service Commission, where he conducted policy research, monitored legislation, and analyzed committee activity. These experiences strengthened his leadership, communication, and policy analysis skills while reinforcing his interest in government service. He is passionate about understanding how legislative decisions affect communities and how effective governance can address complex national and international challenges.

After graduation, Brian hopes to pursue a career in public service, focusing on public policy, government affairs, and international security. As a CHCI Intern, he hopes to gain firsthand experience in the legislative process, strengthen his understanding of Congress, and develop the skills necessary to serve communities through effective public leadership.
