Kati Cabral is a proud educator and former middle school teacher. She currently serves as an At-Large Member and Vice-Chair of the Chelsea School Committee, where she is dedicated to ensuring that every student is known by their name, strength, and story.
Kati’s journey in education policy began as a senior at Chelsea High School, when she was nominated by her principal to serve as the Student Representative on the School Committee. That experience sparked her commitment to return to the community that invested in her. After college, she taught middle school science in Chelsea and now works to diversify and strengthen the educator workforce in Lynn and Mattapan.
Kati is an alumna of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Internship Program, Teach for America (TFA MA ‘20), the School Board Partners (SBP) Fellowship, the Latinos for Education (L4E) Fellowship, Bates College (BA) and Boston University (MEd).
