Santiago Esparza Nazemi

Santiago Esparza Nazemi was born in Los Angeles and has grown up in Charlotte, NC where he attends Providence Day School (Class of 2027). He is the son of two Mexican-American parents. Having led his school’s Latino Club, and prompted by the Border Patrol surge in Charlotte last November, he decided to expand his reach by starting InspiraNC – a statewide Latino youth empowerment initiative.

He is pursuing a Global Studies Diploma at his high school and serves as a research assistant on the economic history of Mexico with a Professor at Rice University. In addition to CHCI NextGen, he is spending the rest of his summer in DC at the School for Ethics and Global Leadership. He looks forward to deep policy discussions, and connecting with his program peers to build his network and develop meaningful bonds.
