2026 NextGen Latino Leadership Program
Aylin Arvizu
Aylin Arvizu is a first-generation Hispanic student who advocates to expand educational opportunities for Hispanic students through mentorship and advocacy. Growing up, she witnessed the challenges immigrant families faced when navigating the education system in the United States. As president of the Hispanic Studies Association, a student-led club at her high school, she works with local non-profit organizations in her area to provide Hispanic students with access to different opportunities helping toward their future.
Additionally, she participates in Speech and Debate, Cross Country, as well as Student Ambassador. Aylin applied to CHCI NextGen to increase her leadership skills in order to better serve her community back home, who lack the awareness of different resources and opportunities. Aylin dreams of attending college out of state and becoming an immigration lawyer while strengthening her community.
