Sol Alcocer Lopez

Sol Alcocer Lopez is a first-generation Honduran student who takes pride in her heritage and the values of perseverance, compassion, and hard work that her family has instilled in her. Inspired by her interest in law and advocacy, she hopes to use her voice to uplift others and help those who may feel unheard. Through her involvement in school organizations and her role as vice president of a student-led nonprofit, she has discovered a passion for leadership through service and come to view leadership as an opportunity to serve, listen, and empower others.

She applied to CHCI NextGen to connect with other Latino students, learn from shared experiences, and grow as a leader within a community that reflects her own background and aspirations. Her greatest motivation is to inspire others to embrace their stories, recognize their potential, and create positive change in their communities.
