Angel Aldana

Angel Aldana is a Mexican student from Laredo, Texas, currently attending Harmony School of Excellence-Laredo, who is driven by the values his family from Monterrey taught him: humility, perseverance, and determination. Passionate about serving his community and representing underrepresented students, he is a member of the Laredo Youth Council, where he successfully presented a proposal to expand council membership from 17 to 25 students, increasing youth representation in local government.

Angel is also the lead builder, CAD designer, and engineering notebook for his VEX Robotics Team 18908X, experiences that have fueled his passion for engineering and inspired his goal of pursuing Mechanical Engineering. As a first-generation student, he recognizes the educational opportunities many of his family members never had and seeks to make the most of every opportunity. Through CHCI NextGen, Angel hopes to connect with ambitious peers, learn from leaders, and further develop the skills needed to create meaningful change.
