Stefane Flores Martinez

Stefane Flores Martinez is the eldest daughter of two Mexican immigrants. As an International Baccalaureate student, she has developed a global perspective through opportunities such as studying abroad in Italy and pursuing her second Seal of Biliteracy. Stefane serves as President of the Organization of Latin American Students, Mock Trial and Youth Leadership Academy, and represents her community as an Elgin Police Explorer Cadet, competing at both regional and national levels.

Passionate about immigration advocacy and aspiring to become an immigration attorney, she has worked to create change through the Principal and Superintendent Advisory Councils and was recently elected Student Representative to the Board of Education for Illinois’ second-largest school district. Stefane has worked multiple jobs as a tutor, cashier at her local bakery, and assisting her dad in his landscaping company. Stefane applied to CHCI NextGen to learn how to empower her community through meaningful advocacy and service as she one day hopes to become an immigration attorney.
