Allison Escobar

Growing up in Los Angeles County, Allison Escobar, a rising senior, applied to CHCI NextGen to build lifelong professional skills and gain opportunities to engage with federal representatives. As Co‑President of the Women in Business Club, partnered with Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business, and Co‑Founder of Spark Literacy, a community literacy project for low-income children, she works locally to empower women and youth to pursue new pathways with confidence and support.

Inspired by her father, who worked three jobs while managing diabetes and fighting deportation, Allison committed herself to advocacy. She interned with the Los Angeles Youth Development Department and now works with ExpandLA, creators of many Angeleno Youth Hubs. She fights to ensure immigrants, minorities, adults, and youth have access to education, food, and basic human rights. She can’t wait to continue the connection with CHCI and is grateful for the opportunity provided.
