Ediel Ramos Santos

Driven by a passion for athletics and a commitment to his local community, Ediel Ramos Santos is a proud tenth-grader hailing from Caguas, Puerto Rico. On the court and beyond, he demonstrates natural leadership as the captain of both his school’s basketball team and the Sports Club. Through these roles, Ediel focuses on empowering his peers, fostering teamwork, and building resilience among young athletes.

Recognizing the broader impact of civic engagement, he applied to CHCI NextGen to expand his advocacy skills and collaborate with emerging Latino changemakers. By exploring the intersection of public policy and community service, Ediel seeks to gain the tools necessary to enact positive change at home and inspire his fellow students across Puerto Rico to become active leaders in their own right.
