Isabella Rivera Estrella

Isabella Rivera Estrella is a uniquely compelling student born and raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. After having experienced the appalling nature of Puerto Rico’s medical professionals drought, she is determined to continue her learning in order to transform her sociocultural situation. Isabella considers studying medicine to be a political statement; especially in an environment where every healthcare professional leaves the archipelago when it needs them most. Although she wishes to study medicine, her passions and interests are awfully sporadic. She is the newly elected president of her school’s Model United Nations team, which houses her unrelenting determination to uncover resolution in political conflicts.

However, when she’s not debating ethics in committee, she’s drawing portraits, reading classic novels, writing short stories, or playing video games. Isabella strongly believes that leadership is an essential component of resolution, and guidance can aid in understanding and support. She trusts that CHCI NextGen will be an integral part of her journey into the world of politics, providing her with the tools to use her voice when her territory has none.
