Nicole Orellana

Nicole Orellana is a first-generation Salvadoran-American from Houston, Texas, and the proud daughter of Ana Orellana and Manuel Orellana, whose sacrifices inspired her passion for advocacy and public service. Through internships with State Representative Jon Rosenthal, Harris County Attorney Christian D. Menefee, and Mi Familia en Acción, Nicole has gained experience in public policy, legal research, civic engagement, and voter outreach within Latino communities.

Her work has strengthened her commitment to fighting for equity and representation, especially during a time when many Latino communities continue to face discrimination and systemic barriers. Nicole hopes to pursue a career in law and public policy to advocate for underrepresented voices. Her participation in CHCI NextGen has deepened her dedication to empowering the Hispanic community and breaking barriers for future generations.
