Leylani Barrios

Leylani Barrios is a young Latina who is passionate about all things government and political science related. She has worked to amplify the voices of Latinos in her community by advocating for education on the culture’s history and works to secure the rights for immigrant communities in her school’s Sanctuary Committee. In the next coming year, she will be the chief leader of the Computer Science Honors Society where she will work to explore social issues in the technology sector and close the gender divide in the field. Participating in CHCI NextGen will help Leylani gain real world experience with the political scene, engage in rich conversations with other future Latino leaders and explore her passion for government further.
