Melany Carmenaty-Martinez

Melany Carmenaty-Martinez is a junior at Advanced Technologies Academy who aspires to pursue a career in law and public service. Born in Cuba, she immigrated to the United States at the age of eight, an experience that shaped her perspective on opportunity, advocacy, and community engagement. Passionate about civic involvement, Melany has dedicated herself to youth leadership through organizations focused on government, public policy, and voter engagement.

She is actively involved in programs such as Speech and Debate, Model United Nations, and community-based advocacy initiatives, where she works to amplify youth voices and encourage civic participation. Melany applied to CHCI NextGen to connect with other emerging Latino leaders, strengthen her leadership skills, and gain a deeper understanding of public service. She hopes to use these experiences to become an attorney who advocates for her community and expands opportunities for future generations.
